Now, back to the Wrapping Paper Relay\u2026<\/p>\n

Current Standings<\/h4>\n

\"\"Running on top of a giant roll of wrapping paper is no small feat\u2026and it\u2019s especially challenging while crossing a swimming pool full of hot eggnog! Still, in Fifth Place, Elf David<\/strong> is managing to keep his balance rather nicely. David caused a stir earlier this morning when he entered the arena wearing some fancy footwear (pointy elf clogs with separated toes!) But David swears by them, and seems to think they\u2019ll give him and extra leg-up in the competition. We\u2019ll have to wait and see\u2026<\/p>\n

In Fourth Place, Elf Shannon<\/strong> has now advanced to the paper-sizing portion of the relay. Possibly the most nerve-wracking of the day\u2019s events, she must determine the exact optimal size of paper needed to efficiently wrap a \u201cMystery Gift\u201d. Each participant is given a different challenge, but Shannon\u2019s was particularly difficult… There\u2019s no telling how she\u2019ll manage to wrap that cotton gin!<\/p>\n

Elf Ed<\/strong> is currently in Third Place, and expertly wielding a giant pair of scissors. We\u2019re trying to keep a safe distance, but it appears that he is working on making a first incision on his wrapping paper. Now, all he\u2019ll have to do is glide the shears across a mile-and-a-half stretch of paper without snagging! Did we mention this particular course is positioned over a field of shag carpeting?<\/p>\n

\"\"Elf Jean-Marie<\/strong> is closing in on Second Place, folding her gift wrap with unparalleled precision. She\u2019s a serious paper folder, making edges so notoriously sharp, some have compared them to broken Peanut Brittle! She\u2019s been known to eliminate competition with one fell swoop.<\/p>\n

And in the Lead, we have Elf Meghan<\/strong>. She\u2019s putting the finishing touches on her present, adding flair through interpretive ribbon dance. A true elf activist, her routine is said to be a commentary on Polar Bear endangerment and tacky holiday socks. But she\u2019d better watch her back, Shannon is folding-in fast!<\/p>\n
