\"\"We\u2019ve gone Macadamia Nuts these past few weeks preparing\u00a0for Elf Week\u2019s opening event, The Rookies n\u2019 Milk Marathon<\/a>.\u00a0 From stretching our stomachs at the All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Palace, to growing our milk mustaches just the way we like them, we haven\u2019t worked this hard since Rudolph got stuck in the doggie door!<\/p>\n

Well, it\u2019s now officially \u201ccrunch time\u201d and we\u2019ve got all the delicious details of the Rookies n\u2019 Milk events, right here on the Elfster Blog!<\/p>\n

Current Rookies n’ Milk Standings<\/h3>\n

\"\"Elf Julie<\/strong> is presently in the lead, having successfully scarfed the North Pole\u2019s entire population of gingerbread men.\u00a0 She is now speed-skating over Lake Freeze-Pop with the finish line in sight. \u00a0But don\u2019t count your turtledoves before they hatch!\u00a0 Julie is recovering from a brain freeze injury last week, and only time will tell how she holds up for the final moments of the race.<\/p>\n

Buttered Rum is no match for Elf Peter<\/strong> who is chugging for Second at the Sleigh Bell Saloon.\u00a0 He may be a savvy sipper, but a lot can change in this stage of the game.\u00a0 Oddly, many an elf has gotten stuck in the Buttered Rum leg of the journey\u2026 We can\u2019t imagine why.<\/p>\n

In Third Place, Elf Stephanie<\/strong> is still slip-sliding her way through the Grease-the-Pan portion of the competition.\u00a0 On a baking sheet the size of a Hockey rink, she\u2019s got to toboggan a giant pad of butter down the slope, earning a minimum of 12 \u201cSanta Style \"\"Points\u201d to make it to the next round. But even that might not be enough to help her advance.\u00a0 (Judges were aghast earlier when she pre-heated her oven to a mere 349\u00b0 and not the required 350\u00b0\u2026)<\/p>\n

Elf Adrian<\/strong> was a particularly eager participant in the day\u2019s first trial, The Eskimo Pie Eating Contest. \u00a0Though he doubtlessly demonstrated the healthiest appetite, his refusal to leave the table has only landed him in Fourth Place, where he is still \u201ccompeting\u201d as we speak.\u00a0 The last time he took a breath he was quoted as saying, \u201cYou all go on without me\u2026 I\u2019ll just stay here and clean up.\u201d<\/p>\n
