Of course, we could only go back so far. After all, the holiday was invented by a TV show in 2010.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But it doesn\u2019t <em>seem<\/em> that way, does it? When Leslie Knope first told us about \u201cGalentine\u2019s Day\u201d in <em>Parks and Recreation<\/em>, it was so perfect that it felt like it had always been around. Valentine\u2019s Day is about you and your significant other, but this holiday is just for the girls.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Galentine\u2019s Day is a day to celebrate female friendship. It\u2019s a day to honor the people with whom you share secrets, advice, sadness, and joy. It\u2019s a day for being stronger, and happier, together.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And if you\u2019re following in the footsteps of Leslie Knope, it\u2019s a day to exchange gifts. A Galentine\u2019s day gift exchange celebrates all the themes of your friendship and can be a great way to celebrate all the wonderful women in your life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"where-to-have-a-galentine-s-day-gift-exchange\"><strong>Where to Have a Galentine\u2019s Day Gift Exchange<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201ctraditional\u201d place to have a Galentine\u2019s Day gathering is at a breakfast\/brunch spot where you can load up on whipped cream and toast with some mimosas. Of course, this day is about freedom, choice, and you. So, pick a place that works for everyone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some Galentine\u2019s Day ideas include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Spa day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ski trip<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Beach (if it\u2019s warm where you are)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dancing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sporting event<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Playing your favorite sport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Someone\u2019s house<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All of the above!&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The point is, there\u2019s no wrong way to celebrate your sisterhood. Do something that has meaning to you and that you\u2019ll all enjoy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-easiest-way-to-get-galentine-s-day-gifts\"><strong>The Easiest Way to Get Galentine\u2019s Day Gifts<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s talk about gifts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, Leslie was a pretty big gift-giver.
